Overview of ITeLIC
The International Teaching Enhancement & Learning Innovation Carnival (ITeLIC) is an annual flagship event organized by the Centre for Excellence and Academic Development (CAED), under the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) Office, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK). Formerly known as TeLiC (Teaching & Learning Innovation Carnival) from 2018 to 2019, the event was rebranded as eTeLiC in 2020 in response to the nationwide educational transformation brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, with the “e” representing its fully electronic, live-online format. From 2021 onwards, it evolved into ITeLIC, conducted entirely online via a dedicated Moodle-based event management platform. The carnival has become a vibrant arena for showcasing innovative teaching and learning products from educators and students across public and private higher education institutions and schools. Through ITeLIC, UMK participants are nurtured and propelled to prestigious national stages such as IUCEL, where many have secured gold medals—testament to the impactful exposure and development fostered by ITeLIC.
ITeLIC'25 Highlights
Once again, ITeLIC’25 returns with renewed excitement, carrying the theme “Amazing Educational Futures: Open Access, Digital Credentials & Innovation.” This year, the spotlight is on digital innovations for teaching and learning, including online courses and modules, open-access resources, alternative assessments, STEM initiatives, and more. Featuring six competitive categories, ITeLIC’25 will gather a diverse pool of innovators—lecturers, teachers, and students—showcasing impactful educational solutions. The event will also feature two distinguished keynote speakers addressing cutting-edge topics in AI technology and IOER (Inclusive Open Educational Resources). All are warmly invited to join as participants or visitors and explore the dynamic innovation showcase, hosted once again on our dedicated Moodle 4.5+ platform.
